The Night You Said GoodbyeA Poem by VR Zette
Traveled through everlasting promises.
Showered happiness and sadness. Ran through different spaces But now covered with bitterness. Racing against time, Chasing what we thought was true. Trying to make this a rhyme Yet still I don't know what to do. Holding hands infront of the cross Praying to be forever. But everything went pause And we weren't meant to be together. Misunderstandings led us to suffer, Cries of love and pain prevailed. My mind went on buffer And our seas will no longer be sailed. The cold after six led me to agonize The vision I knew would befall. Eyes of torment made me mesmerize The blue sensation of your call. Promises of the past covered my mind. I was hypnotized by the dark melancholy sky. Thousand kisses and hugs made me blind And the night you said goodbye. © 2016 VR Zette |
