i am the forgotten

i am the forgotten

A Poem by Kiari Sabon

I’ve become 2nd best in my own writing as well as my own life

When you meet my friends they either leave me or you make me 2nd best

Ones I’ve known for years you sweep away in mere hours if not days

What am I left with?

Nothing

For I’m even 2nd best in your eyes

It is a hollow feeling indeed

It is much like that of being left abandoned on the side of a forgotten path

Why don’t I just breath my last breath

I’m sure none of you would notice my departure

Unless you tried to recall your meeting and greeting

I am that forgotten book on the shelf and this is that ruined page you flip over

My life is that unstirred dust that doesn’t even stir in the wind

Forever ill lay here forgotten and unwanted

Writing is healing.. and I hope writing this helped to heal you from that feeling. You are a remarkable writer and growing in your talent every day. I see you, and you are not forgotten!

Self pity can be therapeutic as long as you remember to leave it there at the wayside and remember to take another breath. :)

About
Im broken its as simple as that but it seems all writers have seen the darkest and brightest moments being able to capture the hearts of so many. I can't bring myself to talk to those i should but whe.. more..
