The school of learningA Poem by Onyia-Ali, Kingsley Chukwuebuka Benson(A little learning is a dangerous thing Drink deep, or teste not the Pierian spring)The school of learning
In the school of learning selflessly, Where books signal sigh, sight-seated silly All the books we learnt freely, stood odd Given to the white witness pepper, submitted To the eye awareness, therein we talk The belly knowledge of the foreign black. Encyclopaedia booked into our head, Storaged lored sentences, narrowed Us down drunk with words’ Ambiguous drift, rooted us superficially Safe was left, kept selflessly. © 2013 Onyia-Ali, Kingsley Chukwuebuka BensonReviews
