Loquaciously Bleeding.A Poem by Kiri JSo is this it then? Is this my way? I think I’ve split my mind in two One for me And one for you… I’m half a floating vessel, Struggling to keep The water out, And half a sinking ship Trying to push all My air out… Half a dreamer Teaching myself how To fly Half the eternal pessimist I’m so much more me When I cry. I pray you, Tell me the secrets I clearly can’t see? For I promise, one day, You will notice a difference in me When I see all these words -Caged in my chest Beneath steel ribs A deafening, relentless Heart- Spill out on the floor And soak up through the Soles of my feet Staining the ground Loquaciously bleeding Repeating… I lost me today. I lost me. Please don’t find me this way.
