"I'm Sorry"

All you can say is sorry for the future.....for what hasn't happen

When your gone,
What will happen to us,
What will happen to our hopes and dreams,
I know we've been together only short time,
But I feel as though its true,
I dont know what will happen,
When your over there,
And I am stuck here,
I dont know what to do,
This is my apology,
For the future of our relationship,
For the way I may act,
For the things I may say,
I dont know what will happen,
I dont know if you'll love me like you do now,
My love for you may never change,
I guess this is just my way of saying I love you,
My way of telling you how i really am,
The distance that will come between us,
Is more than I would like to bear,
But for you,
I would bear anything,
I guess this is just my way of saying sorry,
Before I screw this all up,
Before I crash,
So just to let you know,
I'm sorry,
And I love you...

That was so sweet... such a beautiful way to not only tell, but show how much you love someone. It was brilliant in that I had no idea from the title of the poem where you were heading and that element of surprise made it that much extra fulfilling. I really loved the dichotomies in what you wrote...that it was pessimistic, but the message so full of love and contradiction. Fantastic!

A poetic insurance policy...for the death of a love affair. Creative idea--romanitic notion, but so very non-optomistic for a budding relationship...still, we have all been there, and the feelings of appreciation for the existing emotions and intensity are spoken so well in the "unsaid" of the entire idea of this piece. I really like this bittersweet concept. Nice.
