From the first town of unknown where she met Erika and Morgan, after facing some "issues,” now the trio are in the town of Hail-Fall as Morgan has her unconscious melt down after her encounter with the “angelic” being, having gotten an offer any fool would have accepted. Continuing from chapter 12 of writers cafe- Morgan wakes up in the middle of the night drenched in sweat as she rubs her eyes and heads to her bathroom to wash her face. Morgan walks out of her room to check in on Erika and Kiria's room as they sleep soundlessly. She heads out, still dressed in her night gown, and heads out of the inn to stand at the front yard staring into the night sky as she allows tears to slowly trickle down her face. Kiria stretches while waking up and yawns as she turns to see Erika sleeping sweetly on the other bed. Her ears twitch as she hears Morgan and gets out the bed to see her out the window. Kiria rubs her eyes as they adjust and sees an Arrow of pure light in Morgan's back as she realizes what’s in front of her. Kiria runs into Megan's room to see the room is not just a mess, but also sees her sheets drenched in sweat. She heads outside as she processes what's happening to where Morgan stands in silence with tears running down Morgan's face. “You should let go," Kira said in a cold, unliving tone as she ripped the Arrow out of Morgan's back. “Right…” Morgan wiped away her tears and sighed, turning back and looking at unholy looking Kiria, her eyes crimson bloodshot, glowing red, and her ears perked up with a blank expression, compared to the droopy eared warm smiling Kiria she knew… this wasn’t Kiria. As if Morgan blinked, Kiria was returning to her warm smiling droopy eared self in an instant as she held the arrow of pure light. Morgan could not see and dissipated it to bits of mana she absorbed. “You shouldn't play with angels,” Kiria said playfully and sweetly with her usual kind and sweet tone. “You truly are something special and out of this world huh?” Morgan said as Kiria just yawned, turned and headed back to her room. Kiria sighed and threw herself back onto her bed, curling into her sheets, drifting back to sleep as Morgan headed back into her room to clean it from her little unconscious rampage. © 2026 KItsuko DragonstarAuthor's Note
