DeceptionA Poem by Klo WillowA mesh of opinion in prose format.
Deception; a beauty few acknowledge or dare to perceive. A mirror that beckons to be shattered, a naive promise filled with expectations, riddling our lives. The notion of peeling away the shell feigns excitement, but upon further inspection, doubt and apprehension ambush the innocent. Consequently, the coarse truth emerges and possibility implodes with newness while obliterating past notions. To spend time and hope excavating a hollow entity? To dig a breeding ground for resentment? It all seems for naught.
And so, risk; unable to be countered with bravery or proof from past excavations. And yet, we expect someone to stray from such just for us? Oh, the hypocrisy!
