What We Once Had is Collapsing

I gave you my heart and
I thought what we had
was perfect and we would
always be together, never
depart

But with one lie I'm one
step closer to the door, not
wanting this kind of treatment
not from anyone even you anymore

I love you and don't want to
to see all the secrets hidden
in your beautiful eyes, I want to
believe you when you say you are true

You told me you loved me and never
wanted to lose me but the clock is ticking
and this boat is sinking fast and with every
churning wave is one more second closer
to the collapse
