Hold On

My pain is real and it seems
ages before I mend and heal
but happiness is just around
the corner and my heart feels
ever so warmer

I feel free again
it's me again I can
finally breathe again

I know pain is going to
venture in but I just need
to hold on until it is gone

i love this one, this is a perfect example of letting the reader into your soul. I felt the Pain, The Captivity of it all then The struggle, and then the relief once the pain healed. Great write!

It made me smile. I can't quite figure out why but the second stanza had a beautiful flow to it. It might just be me but I think it would work well as the last stanza.
