Diamond in the Rough

A diamond in the rough
I see the rough so where
is the diamond or is this not
the right timing?

I want to shine through and
take my life to a new avenue
and if it's true I will over come
and make it for me and make it
for you

I will be that diamond
and I will be shining in
the rough because I will
never give up as long as I
am alive

Got to strive to be that diamond
no matter what it takes, I know
that I can live through many failed
attempts and make mistakes as I try
to reach my fate

This is simplistic yet beautiful, the emotion is there but it merely scratches the surface. Try to dig in deeper, make me feel you. put me inside your soul and make me feel your yearning to become that diamond. Compel me to become that diamond too. Wonderful piece!
