A Time

There once was a time where the world seemed so easy

I walked on the clouds and it seemed kind of breezy

but as the years went by and people walked their separate

ways the world then came to a haze, I saw things and heard things

I would rather never know, and my hatred for reality was more than

you could know

 

I just wish I could go back to the way things were but now all

I have left is a constant blur of lies through the truth and I am

tired of my mind taking on such abuse, but today I saw a glimpse

of hope and I walk a little further as if walking a slippery slope

because maybe just maybe I am getting close to where I am

supposed to be, just need you here to walk on next to me
