I Want To Write a Poem!

Have you ever wanted something so bad but you couldn't achieve it?

I want to write a poem.

A wonderful poem that everyone will talk about.

See the thing is I can’t come up with anything.

Maybe I’ll write about a bird? No that’s been done.

Maybe a poem about a lost lover? What’s the point?

My poem would be fabulous, a literary treasure.

Should it be about bumblebees and spring?

Would it be about long winter nights and the bright stars?

I WANT TO WRITE A POEM!

Line after line the words would flow.

Descriptions would take you to a faraway place.

Fairies and leprechauns! That would be a good poem wouldn’t it?

No I have no interest in those things.

I want it to be from the heart and in essence be me.

Something I can call my own!
