Why pay to write?

Why am i being suggested to pay someone what i write?

Limitations are what drive me insane about today's society.

Why is the amount of cash i bare within my pockets continuously questioned with where i wish to advertise my pieces?

Is this serious?

shouldn't it be more about what people have to offer intellectually and not financially?

I must be from mars or something. 

i don't understand.

I would love to get paid for writing poetry but I do know what you mean. Words are powerful because unlike money, they touch the soul of the reader in a way that can be more rewarding than dollars and cents. They come from a personal place.

I believe a writer will need to network themselves when selling books. If just writing and learning/seeking to improve. No need to pay. Many good sites. Scary part. Today with greedy publishers and open net. We must self-publish our work at the beginning. Writing is hard work and effort.

i agree certainly. i would just like to for once come across a website that doesn't ask me for my credit card information. But yes, self help is a must more than it has ever been. its just a shame that i'm constantly bombarded with opportunities that i cant take because of money.

There are many. This one and wordpress I use. I'm on the Famous poet site also. All free. To gain followers at the beginning and the ending. You must be a friend. Read other folks work and create friendship with artists, singers and publishers.
