Look Into My Soul

Look Into My Soul

A Poem by Katarzyna Anna Koziorowska

This wind quenches my scarlet tears.
Hope turns its face,
it cannot look into my soul.

I cannot name my stars,
galaxies do not agree to me
hugging them.
I lost my last tear
somewhere along the way.

Loneliness, buried in a heart-shaped box,
no longer asks for pain,
no longer asks for the last breath
of suffering.

The last constellation detached from
this yellow sky,
the future passed without
a farewell letter.

Once you have found the truth
in the midst of condolences,
stop time for a moment,
look at my reflection in your greedy mirror.

Do not be afraid of happiness,
it is completely harmless.
I miss silence, I miss remoteness.
