A Sacred Job

To whomever may be held up high

See there be no log in my eye

I’ve walked this path well enough

To be called resilient and tough

But for the love

Of the love

Of those I hold dear

May a working miracle appear?

A job in this age is what I need most

So my behind isn’t turned to toast

This is all so stupid and vain

Yet if I’m unemployed

That’s a major pain.

So please Guides,

Gods,

Goddesses above

Your wandering magician

Needs a job

….and probably a hug

I wrote this out of frustration, trying to find a job. I just moved to a small town after being homeless for nearly 2 years, trying not to screw up an arrangement I have going on. Basically, this is an open prayer for employment. Seriously, I could use a lucky break.

Hey Jansy,
Thank you for leaving a review. I wasn't really expecting this to get any kind of attention. I just sorta wrote it out of frustration, slapped it on Writerscafe, and just let it to rot. And I've been doing just about everything under the sun in order to find work. Currently, I've been listening to a subliminal to help clear away blockages. It's just one of those things that gets under the skin. With what I know, and admittedly what I'm able to preform, there shouldn't be any issue finding work. But there has been. So I'm just sorta.... I dunno. Trying to turn something negative into something positive, like this poem here.

Where you from? I'm in Washington. I'm working 3 jobs bro lol. I got one at a grocery store and all I do is stack cardboard boxes. The pay is good and easy money. I'm also, Army Reserves.

I also live in Washington, but in a smaller town. Right now, I've been trying to find something local, but I'll probably have to take a bus out to a larger city and job hunt elsewhere. I'm good for just about anything that's entry level, but it's a matter of people actually getting back to me. It's been a wild ride. Obstacles have gotten in my way where they shouldn't have been in the first place, sorta deal. Basically the trend has been getting something lined up, just to have it crumble before my eyes. It shouldn't be this difficult, and it has been.

I have no idea who the hell I might have pissed off, but whatever the deal is, I don't deserve *this* s**t. I think it's just.... frankly, I don't know. I don't think it's something karmic. I would be honestly be surprised if it was a curse. And I don't think it's entirely my background (a medical emergency turned into me getting my a*s beat by the police because I wouldn't listen to orders, because I was having a medical emergency and blacked out).

It's been a mess.

I just got lucky. My girlfriend has wealthy parents. Who find me adorable haha. My best advice is get a girlfriend with wealthy parents. It opens doors and opportunities. Goodluck, bro

Well, if I end up meeting the right girl, maybe she'll have loaded parents too haha. I'm not exactly "on the market" right now, but who knows. Stranger things have happened.
