Who am I ?

Who am I ?

A Poem by Krisna Chatelain

Who am I to live?
A life I don’t have
Who am I to shout?
In a silence night
Who am I to cry?
For something that’s not mine
Who am I to act?
When there’s no proven fact
Who am I to believe?
I have better to give
Who am I to envy?
When I can live simply
Who am I to discriminate?
Someone so perfect
Who am I to judge?
Someone I am not
Who am I to be?
Someone who’s not me

Who are we indeed....I usually get a glimpse when I read what I have written. What did you see of yourself in this one?

I agree...the most difficult thing to be is ...ourselves and in the moment
Krishna,

I like the repetition of the piece and the thought provoking questions you ask. This is free verse in its finest.

I like the flow of questions. Life will test us often. Hard to know who we are sometime. I like the poetry that leave the reader with questions. This poem did. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
