Your Life's LullabyA Poem by KrisThis is what happens when my brain subconsciously combines real life events, Beowulf, and Kuroshitsuji/Black Butler. I have no idea how I feel about this poem. Read as a song.Death comes silently waiting in the shadows. But rest easy, my dear friend. I will be here beside you, singing your life’s lullaby. It remembers your tale of how you slain the Demon and banished the Darkness. It remembers your confrontation against the Dragon. Oh, how bravely you stood your ground. Now Death caresses your face, claiming you as one of his own. Go, and never fear, this breath will not be your last. Sleep well, and I will greet you at the Dawn, singing your life’s lullaby. © 2012 KrisAuthor's Note
