The pain,

it hurts.

But I’ll bear the burden

so you won’t have to.

My feelings for you,

both hot with rage

and warm with compassion

I’ll keep them forever locked up

here in my heart.

So you will never see.

I will be strong for you

never showing a hint of weakness.

Keeping my thoughts silent,

and my mouth forever sealed.

The burden is getting heavier and heavier,

And it leaves me wondering

When will I collapse

under all these locked feelings?
