Time Ticked By

Hard bed,

Sterile room

Minutes ticked by.

Strangers visiting 

Strangers whispering

Hours ticked by.

Hell’s flames,

Suffocating

Days ticked by. 

Nightmares scream,

Fears realized.

Weeks tick by.

Fading...

Waning...

Dying...

Crying.

Months ticked by.

Tears breathed life

And life began anew.

I find this poem very relatable. It’s like a waiting game. And it all depends on what you do while you wait. There is a lot of patience involved in this piece. The best things in life don’t come easy. A Hardship is coming into play. Thank you for sharing.
