The EnemyA Poem by Kristan A. MohammedHow terrible it feels when you fall for your worst enemy. And they fooled you all along.Blurred by lust and loyalty, The lines of black and white. Wrote you as the enemy, But now here at my side. I believe in you. How did it ever come to this? I have sunk so low. Consuming the forbidden fruit, Never knew it could taste so sweet. I love even the bad in you. Now your winter words have blown, Whistling that I should go. I know I'm not the one you love. But thought I'd give the final blow. I don't believe you.
Tell me how to please your flesh, Tell me what it takes. I'll do anything you ask of me, Though I know I'll never be the one. How could I be such a fool? How can lies of love and passion, Ever feel so good? The mystery of the enemy's body, Sings the siren's songs. Why did I let myself fall? How could I sink into your cold eyes? When I live for the heat. I'll believe all of your lies, Use me as you need. I should have known it couldn't be. Dance with me on blazing fire, Sing for me the song of lies. Tell me I'm your true desire, Tell me I'm the one who owns your eyes. I need you. © 2014 Kristan A. MohammedReviews
