Robin

Robin

A Story by Kameron Boulton

When Robin came to, he noticed a certain smell in the air. it was the smell of blood and concrete with a hint of the outside night air. He knew he wasn't at the hideout anymore. When he finally got all of his senses about him he looked across the dimly lit room, sitting and tied in a wooden chair was Marian. He began frantically calling her name and asking if she was okay when he was intterupted by a door at the back opening and a figure entering. Robin couldnt make out who it was. When the figure spoke, he told Robin that everything was going to be ok and that he didnt want him. The figure spoke in a joking, almost insane, voice. Then Robin knew who it was. It was Lincoln Farra. Also known as, the mad hatter. Lincoln was the highest ranking hitman in one of the most dangerous gangs in Carol city. the gang was run by Johnny Marx, also known as Prince John. Johns gang, the guards, and Robins gang, the merry men, had a war going on. And that night, John sent twenty of his men; including Warren Font. Warren was bettter known as The Sheriff. He was also Johns right hand  man and was leading the attack on Robins hideout.
When they arrived at Robins hideout, they greeted the merry men by shooting the door guard in the face. They then entered the building and began shooting. They moved through the building killing everyone and encountering little resistance due to the unexpected nature of the attack. after killing everyone of Robins men, they took him and Marian to the warehouse that they are now being held. After the hatter explained to Robin that John didnt want him dead, he moved to Marian. He began feeling her face and playing with her hair. Then, he pulled a Colt model 1911 with oak grips and an engraving of a white rabbit on the slide, out of a shoulder holster that had been concealed under his navy blue slim fit suit coat. As he put the barrel to Marians head, it pushed down part of her long shining brown hair. Robin let out a yell of disbelief and horror as a gunshot rang in the warehouse and his ears and he watched the red mist of Marians brain matter disipate and lightly fall to the cold, concrete ground. Robin sat silently for a moment, then began sobbing. Everything he had was gone. His love, his gang, his brother, everything. At that moment, Robin knew that he had to quit crime and find whoever was responsible for what had just happened, and kill him. The hatter moved to robin and looked him in the eye, raised his gun, and laughed. Another shot rang and the bullet pierced Robins left side. Robin fell to the ground in the chair, and laid unconscious.
