KnightsA Poem by KyleStreaming down from the hill before Banners swimming in the air all around They come still, yet more and more Hoofs beating the poor, dead ground
Riders of death closing in around us Steel brandished high into the air We stand our ground; we know we must And as for glory, we now don’t care
Sweat begins to bead upon my brow The palpable fear fills the air here The screams of war, so utterly loud This may be the end, it is now damn clear
Steel meeting steel as it begins Clangs of pain and screams of swords For my dear friends, will this mean the end? For nothing more than some game for lords? © 2014 Kyle |
