I Am Giving Up

Simple things. thats all i wanted. 

And day by day, you slowly taunted. 

Gave me some, forgot the rest. 

Day by day, you slowly lessed.

When I wanted affection, you gave me rejection.

Each deny I received was a lethal injection. 

I longed to feel wanted. How easy does that sound?

But was teased and tortured by the couples around.

Am I not worth the time? Am I not worth the commitment?

Its not like I am planning a life of amendment.

You started and you stopped completely abrupt. 

Just to let you know. I'm giving up.

an awesome set of couplets, i must admit :) a sad message, but no one can win them all... i feel like this pretty often, and it's just no fun at all. if this is how it is then it sounds like he's not worth the effort, and instead of giving up maybe this should be called "seeing clearly"? haha it's okay, more poems than you can imagine are titled after the last line. really good job on this, do keep writing :) and don't give up on that!
