Forevermore

Forevermore

A Poem by Lisasview
"

Rhyming Quatrains with a Rhyming Couplet envoi poem regarding thoughts of death... Grateful to Richard for finding the perfect artwork for my poem and helping me along my journey writing poetry.

"

     Forevermore....

Lie me down on a bed of lavender;

naked, I will be in the blazing sun.

Upon death, to this earth I surrender …

for, my journey here with you is now done.

Remember my laughter in ocean's waves …

floating along with no care in the world.

As we hid inside of deep dark sea caves,

our eyes met softly, as blue waters swirled.

Kissing your salty neck, I held on tight

with loving thoughts....I drift to you again,

watching day's sun disappear into night,

knowing our true love's depth would never wane.

Beyond life, to your open arms I soar;

our souls entwine now ~ and forevermore....

Lisa, you weren’t wrong when you said I’d like your poem forevermore..
It’s truly beautiful. So full of emotion, love, and peace.
The way you described love, nature, and even death felt gentle yet deep.
Lines like "Lie me down on a bed of lavender" and "our souls entwine now and forevermore" really made my heart swell with emotions.
It feels like a tender goodbye and an eternal promise all in one. I loved this, truly.
This poem is going into my favorites. I'll remember this masterpiece. Thank you for sharing this. 🌿💜

How lucky am I to stumble upon your page this summer’s evening..I read your beautiful composition and was overcome by myriad of emotions: tightness in my chest, tears, yearning, relief…joy…
I hope many are lucky to find a pure form of love that anchors one the way you describe above and can go easy in to the night with that knowledge.
Enjoyed the meter to recite loudly as well.
Thank you thank you..

An evocative poem here my WC friend..:)

Love the opening line..almost imagine it being in field in Provence in the South of France with the sun shining down ....
this is a very touching piece about two souls interconnecting on deeply intimate level...

My favourite lines:

Beyond life, to your open arms I soar;
our souls entwine now ~ and forevermore....

Dear Lisa,
Your thoughts caress gently around me and my heart. This is beautiful, yet tender and emotional. ' Remember my laughter in ocean's waves …floating along with no care in the world. ' Memories will always be.

The photo matches your words perfectly.

Many wonderful blessings to you.

This poem is wonderfully written. Forever is prolong and adding more to it... gives the deep meaning to continuation...
The artwork visually pleasing, the white saying the peace stands out tall with bidding bye of calmness... a resting place...
