Forevermore

Forevermore

A Poem by Lisasview
"

Rhyming Quatrains with a Rhyming Couplet envoi poem regarding thoughts of death... Grateful to Richard for finding the perfect artwork for my poem and helping me along my journey writing poetry.

"

     Forevermore....

Lie me down on a bed of lavender;

naked, I will be in the blazing sun.

Upon death, to this earth I surrender …

for, my journey here with you is now done.

Remember my laughter in ocean's waves …

floating along with no care in the world.

As we hid inside of deep dark sea caves,

our eyes met softly, as blue waters swirled.

Kissing your salty neck, I held on tight

with loving thoughts....I drift to you again,

watching day's sun disappear into night,

knowing our true love's depth would never wane.

Beyond life, to your open arms I soar;

our souls entwine now ~ and forevermore....

Thank you very much for reading and reviewing my poem.
Lisasview, early morning in Spain
Lisa, this is such a magnificent poem. and it has a very important message. "the most important thing in one's life is to die gracefully," said a teacher of mine. and i concur, the last breath we take is the most precious gift.
i also write about death quite frequently. i'd love to know what you think of them.
see you around.

Okay this is the kinds of poems I love. Expressing your own thoughts. So sweet. I also love how lavender means innocence while you had said "naked" it was like an added meaning. So amazing. And lavender also means protection as if it is communicating so many hidden messages. And as if it is said by an innocent girl to a lovely young man because of the color lavender painted on the words or an innocent man protecting him. I love this. And in my opinion lavender is a bit similar like hyacinth. Which is my fave color and flower.

Also I wish for you to critique my poem. It will not be published though. In social media account or in any way. Thank you lisasview. For your kind consideration. If interested message me plss.

A very beautiful romantic, warm, sweet and tender write from your poetic pen, Lisa. Twin Flame love is very finely penned and so lovingly expressed. A poignant write also, it seems that life is ending in the near future and old memories are being very poetically recalled before the lovers meet again in eternity. A very emotional write, your words paint beautiful pictures of a love which was predestined, which was shared in many other lifetimes before the present one. A wonderful, resplendently created poetic gem. A privilege to read and I love both your and Richard's choice of graphic. It is superb and complements the opening lines of the poem so finely. Thank you for sharing, Lisa...

i especially like the lavender Ms. Lisa and the flow .. not quite da bump da bump etc. .. but very conversation like ... with wonderful natural rhymes .. going from your lavender bed into the briny deep sea cave also put me in a special place of peace, love and comfort ... accepting our own deaths in all our human capacities is something sublime and freeing .. we can more easily live in the moment with our whole being ... sure enjoyed reading my friend

Excellent work. The sea has meaning. Love is that which keeps out the loneliness. Well constructed and I'm glad to see someone using rhyme in a world that has nearly abandoned it.
