Journey

Journey

A Poem by Lisasview
"

About loves journey and death

"

Our Journey....

    Fingertips circled love's cup of youth;

    only We could imbibe of this truth.

    Each moment in memory held deep,

    often remembered while still asleep.

    Sometimes, quick breaths became paused 'n caught,

    between what was real and what was nought …

    still feeling thrills of when we first kissed

    … these, are sweet times, will always be missed.

    Yet, shared in our dreams, our lives shine bold;

    these are stories yearning to be told …

    of someone met, with that certain glance.

    Life's but a journey ~ love is our dance.

Lifes dream shared is indeed blessed. Knowing smiles, unspoken understanding and all those instant memories flashing as you gear their name is certainly better than talking to the wall and falling out with the bathroom mirror every morning, as you catch sight of yourself and ask your reflection what you're looking at!
I think it was your first verse that got me to thinking how amazing it would be to hear a baby talk from birth and hear them be amazed at why the had a TV channel playing in their head as they slept.
I wonder how long it would be before they asked how to change the channel. 😃

So very romantic... my favorite tone of poetry. Well done.

A tender, dreamy piece that captures the nostalgia of young love and its lasting imprint. The rhyme flows smoothly, and lines like "love is our dance" wrap the emotion perfectly. It’s heartfelt, though a touch more detail could deepen the impact. Still, it lingers sweetly like a memory you don’t want to let go.

This is tender and timeless—there’s a dreamy elegance to the way you’ve captured love’s lingering presence. The soft rhyme and reflective tone give it a nostalgic heartbeat, especially lines like “between what was real and what was nought.” It reads like a memory whispered between soulmates. Really lovely work.

I had this dance with someone. These days it is "what ifs" that are left...kind of like The Road not Taken.
It is good to see you again...

This one is about love, but not of the present. The speaker looks back upon a youthful love and its sweetness, and apparently the other party is still in the picture. I hope so. Too many regard past loves with bitterness.

Gently passionate words take time to create and read true... and you have, Lisa, you truly have.

'Each moment in memory held deep,
