Turning 40

Thought of my 40th Bday

Turning 40 , the threshold to the new life that is about to begin

I was musing about my sometimes turbulent, stormy times.

I would say the stillness threatened me more than the storms.
The storms promised change, while the stillness threatened me with "No movement".

I would reassure myself that the movement will soon come .

With the conflicts brewing inside me and the outside world , I would silently watch them like a passerby , occasionally feeling painful.

I was preparing myself to face the unknown .
