Lost In The Masquerade Of Love_ Please Remember meA Poem by anne p. murray- LadeeAnne

Will you please remember me... as you go about your life Or... as I often wonder was I ever really felt within your heart? Your love... Had me suspended - held captive like a stranger in my own mind Even though... I never meant to leave you... how could I have stayed when you turned our love into such a masquarade? How would we - Have ever been able to stay in that kind of love? How could we - Have made any of our dreams come true? Now... All the hopes and dreams I thought we shared are memories tucked away... tucked way down deep inside my heart locked away in a watery grave of unshed tears And so... If you ever remember me - I hope there are a few good times you can look back on Because - I really did care I guess the question is... Did You? What was it... That was cast so cruelly upon our fate? We were never really very good together But... I was afraid to say goodbye even though you betrayed me so You still... Dawdle around in the recesses of my mind like crazy little cyclones spinning round - drenching me with golden droplets of liquid tears Leaving me... With the sad memory of a love that only I had for you - not you for me A love that was never meant to be And still... Even though we're miles apart I cry out... "Please - stop cluttering up my heart"!Now- As you travel on in your life... will you please take a bit of me with you because I never wanted to leave you Yet - I could see no other way Because... I was so lost in the masquarade of your love ______________________________________________ ~ ![]() ~ ___________________________________________________ By LadeeAnne~ anne p Murray~2012
