Ultimate Deception- Part 3A Story by anne p. murray- LadeeAnne
The first time Christian James laid
eyes on Lisa Grisby, he was taken aback by her intelligence and wit. Lisa was not at all what he expected. She was
beautiful, highly trained and had an uncanny manner about her of being witty
and simultaneously brilliant both at the same time. Her ability to make you
feel at ease amongst her witty charm and intelligence was quite a bewitching combination…
to say the least! However Lisa, as well as Christian, were both highly trained
professionals who did not allow emotions to get in the way of business. Their
brains were wired differently than most peoples. Critical thinking was an
integral element in the Special Ops. Trust no one and never let your guard down
were critical- in the way they were taught to believe and behave. They were
both highly trained to be deceptive, in order to carry out special missions.
Missions that were both extremely dangerous and extremely secretive. Military deception operations are
powerful tools, but are not without cost. Special Ops personnel must be
committed to the deception practice, in order to make it believable for the
safety and detriment of the operation to be accomplished with as little problem
as possible. Therefore only a select group of senior commanders and staff are
privy to the practices of which deception devises are being used. Thus, any
given situation can cause confusion within the forces and must be closely
monitored. Their jobs are to assist in developing stories and focusing on the
appropriate targets to assist in the effectiveness of the military’s deception
plans. Both Lisa and Christian were Special Ops as
well as targets, and could at any given time, be used against one another
without ever knowing the military’s plan. Yes, it was very dangerous, very
secretive and not without risk…big risks. Risks that Lisa and Christian were
not being made aware of. It put both their lives and their family’s lives in
extreme danger.
## “Lisa”, Christian yelled out! “What in
the hell were you thinking”, Christian demanded! “You know you can’t leave our
instructions out in the open”! “Christian,
I know that”, Lisa said. “I didn’t. I think someone has been in our room. I
think we are being tested, watched. I would never leave important documents out
in the open. I thought you trusted me more than that”, Lisa said, trying to defend
herself. They were holed up in a hotel called
The Traddock, in Austwick, having just
completed a secret 10 day training course in the Craven district of North
Yorkshire, England. They were both tired and physically and emotionally
exhausted, after having spent so much energy in the rigorous Secret Ops
training program. Despite their highly trained minds and driven personalities, they were both a bit unnerved by all the missions about to take place for
MILDEC, the acronym for Military Deception. Their prime focus of study was the
use of “3-D holographic technology”, which is the use of holographic images,
which can be rolled up or cut to any size. They are produced from Light Detection
and Ranging/Buckeye data, which produces high-resolution sources to register
data from other sensors, such as the Army’s Constant Hawk and the Air Force’s Angel
Fire. Christian and Lisa were chosen to
team up the mission, due to the fact that they were both highly proficient with the Secret
Ops in that particular field of study of the use of 3-D holographic imagery, mission rehearsal and mission operational effectiveness. Their mission was highly classified as
NOFORN, called, “DOJ-Secret
Six-Plus”. Through it all, Lisa and Christian were both excited to complete their mission but as they both knew- it was not without extreme risk and danger. They could talk to no one other than their field commander General Nojak Fedders and themselves.
But now...they were at even more risk. The danger of having themselves exposed. Who or what had been in their room and what exactly did they know? Lisa and Christian must make a decision of 'who and what to trust. Could they trust one another? Could they trust General Fedders? They must come to both joint and individual decisions. They're lives depended on it!
