The Wait

The Wait

A Poem by anne p. murray- LadeeAnne

We shall wait awhile longer

    And while we linger

We’ll resolve our hearts to slumber

Our souls will find a path

A way for us to walk this weary road

        We shall wait awhile longer

And while we linger

     We’ll plant our seeds

        Welcoming their flowering beauty

The sweet fragrance of their blossoms

We shall wait awhile longer

While we linger we’ll listen for the sounds

        Of His harmonious music

Our spirits will soar

Our  souls will  lift to the sky

Into the arms of the One

The One who knows our worth...

          Our goodness

Our voices will sing

   As tomorrow brings forth

      Our brighter new day

There's something 'olde worlde' about this piece Anne, but having said that, I think the sentiments are timeless and well written. Tom

I'm not an extraordinary woman, simply put... I'm just a normal, ordinary one. In my private life I am gingerly cautious with the people I meet, but fearless in the words I write. Not an extrove.. more..
