She's Was A Cowgirl From IdahoA Poem by anne p. murray- LadeeAnneShe was a cowgirl from Idaho Anne Rose was this lil’ gal’s name She wore a Stetson hat and a calico vest Fancy snake skin boots were her fame
She wore tight blue jeans and a cowgirl buckle In Pocatello she was known as quite the sassy miss She knew all the cowboys in Boise and Twin Falls They all
know, cuz’ she was famous for her kiss
Now don’t take this wrong She was a spunky little miss She'd surely put a potential lovers heart
Through quite a tough, rigorous test
She was the famous Snake River Queen Sweet as molasses, yet mean when it was needed Many a cowboy got punched in the groin Because the warnings she gave weren’t heeded
She was no bigger than a minute… Standin’ barely five feet tall But her hearts was as big as Texas When she gave her love, she gave it all
Yes, she’s still that same cowgirl But now her hair is turnin’ gray Her delicate face showing wrinkles She wonders where that young girl's gone Wasn't she here just yesterday?
With her many memories fading Her smile showin’ lines upon her face Her sadness she hides down deep Buried in her
quiet state of grace
She lost her only cowboy in September of 2009 He died right before her brown, tear filled eyes She quietly placed a rose upon his chest Kissed his lips and said... Her final, sad goodbye ________________________________________________________________________
