I Still Remember

I Still Remember

A Poem by anne p. murray- LadeeAnne

Just a little something I couldn't get off my mind today... after my husband passed away. It was begging me to write it...so I complied even though I'm on a short hiatus

    I remember ...

the feel of your skin

    so close against me

The taste of your lips

    pressed softly on mine

Your scent weaves it's fragrance

in the corridors of my mind

like an alluring, spicy ginger

   that titillates my senses

I slowly stretch my fingers

   across your naked flesh

The silent rememberance of you, of us

   and god...

it's just a memory

No bitter memories, just sad and sweet

Bittersweet memories indeed... a sweetly melancholy piece.

Beautiful Poem Anne. Sometimes memories are all that we have left to us.

I'm not an extraordinary woman, simply put... I'm just a normal, ordinary one. In my private life I am gingerly cautious with the people I meet, but fearless in the words I write. Not an extrove.. more..
