If I Was Still A Little GirlA Poem by anne p. murray- LadeeAnne
If I was still a little girl I’d like to play a game with you I'd pretend you were my prince A knight in shining armor Come to rescue me His damsel in despair
We'd play spin the bottle I'd purposely have it point at you You'd come and sit beside me In the happy birthday room
Together we'd play hide and seek You'd search and search for me And when you found me You'd playfully tickle me Then kiss me on my cheek
When we'd turn into teenagers Together we'd go roller skating Holding on hand in hand And around the rink we’d go Or you'd take me to a movie At the local drive in show Huddling and cuddling In your '57 Chevy Afterwards you’d walk me to my door And steal another kiss or two
Now that I’m older I reminisce about the good ole’ days Wishing for a game of hide and seek Just to have you find me Then I'd steal a kiss or two from you Just like we used to do __________________________________________
