The Wind Softly Whispers Your NameA Poem by anne p. murray- LadeeAnne
My wandering, ghostly spirit searches for one I’ve loved before
as it dances in the shadows of night entwined in the pulse of your soul
A star was cast from Heaven to Earth below
Searching for you my love
as you wander in the desert all alone
Glowing fingers linger in the breeze
their arms stretched out to bring you closer to the river of my love
curving their light to whisper in your heart
softly murmuring their signs through the moon’s lovely glow
as they embrace the tears and faded memories
that linger in my soul
I’m running barefoot in the glow of the moon
searching for your heart
The winds softly breathe your name across the Universe
from a soul held prisoner by my mind
helplessly confined inside this cage of fear and sorrow
Empty lips tease and torment
trying to weave a dream that won’t come true
They swirl around me splashing my soul with empty rivers
as I search this barren desert for your heart
I want to shut out this drumming of everything that I feel
Close the curtains to the world as I silently trace
those remembered places of your body
the memories of your face…
that linger and resound within my mortal soul
while the wind
still...
softly whispers your name © 2011 anne p. murray- LadeeAnneReviews
