Breathing In

Breathing In

A Poem by anne p. murray- LadeeAnne

Atop a lonely hill

The flowing streams balsam, soothing rhythms

Play peacefully without a care

While the summer’s sun

Shines its bright inhabitant in the air

The fragrance of the lavender

And the circled leaves of green

Are the wreaths of heavenly flowers

Unconcealed by bird and bee of wing

Oh the happy she

Who flows free without care

Whilst’ so contented

Absorbing the fresh, season's air

While lying in the summer’s green

Breathing in its virgin, languid ether

Till’ the slow dropping veil of eve

Sweeps down without a care

This poem is sublime, perfect... I wouldn't change a single thing about it to be truthful. You've created such an idyllic scene. I felt so immersed in the image you created that I almost smelt the scents you described, the fresh air, etc. Impressive work!
