In My Hour Of NeedA Poem by anne p. murray- LadeeAnneSolemn, is the way I feel... As I sit and muse my life Knowing no one really cares if I stay around Feigning interest... but not enough to truly care Unless… It’s to provide a fix to their needs Aware of my lonely existence Knowing I’ll die sometime Somewhere alone... And no one will even know if I’m gone Or truly miss my demise Heaviness leans in my heart My spirit lags behind Who am I really Just another simpleton, a fool ? My soul wanders apathetically An aged person... No one really gives two cents about Servile fool am I - to my growing decline Shattered hopes and dreams A burden to others I’ve become… Unless I can fill their needs Void of sunsets and sunrises Lost in a sea of bottomless waves Cut from a cloth of family - that never cared Just bares my name… Alone, out of the game Aged loner … Gone too far to come back again No more moonbeams in my jar Just lost in a sea of cold, dark depression My voice cries on deaf ears How I wish for the ending of it all ___________________________________________________________________
