Then She Is Gone

Then She Is Gone

A Poem by anne p. murray- LadeeAnne

She stands on the edge of destiny

In an empty void of spaces and nothingness

Her heart’s vessel left barren and lonely, forsaken of all matter

Nothing's left inside her but wisps of floating, haunting memories

She takes a short, sharp breath of thin, vapid air

as the wind sends their chilling whispers of death’s final cold pain,

breathing their phantom presence that weigh heavy upon her breast

The waiting hands of quietus’s black sorrow go thru her

like icy,  ghostly fingers of dark daggers…

filling her soul with deaths, shadowy vapors of loneliness

Their ghostly images form their eerie presence in the depths of her soul

She takes a trembling step forward wondering how it will feel to die...

Never knowing how it felt to have someone make you want to live

                             Then…

                                   She is gone

I'm not an extraordinary woman, simply put... I'm just a normal, ordinary one. In my private life I am gingerly cautious with the people I meet, but fearless in the words I write. Not an extrove.. more..
