Beautiful Septembers Left Behind

Beautiful Septembers Left Behind

A Poem by anne p. murray- LadeeAnne

snow white heartlessness, copper red surrenders, fooling the world

as we stand unprepared for everything in our heartaches

failing to see our treasures of what mattered most

we watch people leave behind loved ones and their families

not ready for the inevitableness of tomorrow that will soon

reveal our unlucky existence once we've eliminated those

that should have mattered most.

listening to unfulfilled promises as a prelude to nothing while we casually go about ruining our days so unprepared are we to cry on the battlefields of life...

our maudlin mouths searching for what's gone as we finally confront our inconvenient misery. we live with the old questions disfiguring our mindless heartaches as we attend to the ingredients of this wrong comedy...

all the ambiguities of humanity casually documenting all our heartless carousels

if we don’t value love and the responsibilities of this dangerous game of life we should not go down the road only to abandon those we chose. it's old hat you know...cupid zips by leaving us all alone and bereft...therefore, I ask what more is there at the heart of these indiscriminate verses?

alone now, aching in the wake of inconceivable life experiments...

like a man inescapable of shaking scattered skeletons,

drowning now, lost and entangled in all our old transgressions, remembering all those beautiful Septembers...

we callously chose to leave behind

About
I'm not an extraordinary woman, simply put... I'm just a normal, ordinary one. In my private life I am gingerly cautious with the people I meet, but fearless in the words I write. Not an extrove.. more..
