I Won't Be Your PuppetA Poem by anne p. murray- LadeeAnne
I don't want to be your puppet anymore We two together have grown tired of us I’m serious... we’ve become intolerable flaws to one another Struggling with old hurts and words not spoken I thought I’d learned to deal with your inability to apologize… accepting the agony of how you were...and are
But… Why should I continue to go there? No...I don't want to be your puppet any more obscuring the
hypocrisy of your love jumping to your demands… hungering for your promises that are seldom kept finding you in misplaced emotions
I don't want to go on as a sad faced, princess puppet This isn't what I thought I'd be a girl wrapped in strings pulled by you spending my life dangling by threads as someone who dances to your whims with all this miscommunication of words left unsaid of how things
should or should not be You watch sports
and all the news in this world without end But... you don’t see me My yearning for you has gone away at this address You seem to be in another country… but not in my world It’s all faded away I'm disappointed with you Everything's been broke open now… all lines have
been crossed Scissors snap, the strings fall You lost the game You lost this dame
