Dogs in Heaven

 

I was standing by the ocean

 

Listening to the waves sing their beat

 

When I saw the spirit of seven dogs

 

Come running towards my feet

 

Your little forms so young and free

 

Bounding carefree in the sea

 

 

They rollicked and swam in the rippling waves

 

Only I could see them as they playfully swim

 

But from now on, on every shore, in every wave

 

I'll see your happy, puppy grins

 

 

All of a sudden...

 

They cocked their ears and looked to the Heavens above

 

As they listened to the Master's voice

 

They knew He'd meet them at the golden gate

 

Waiting for them patiently...

 

With His abiding, eternal love
