Very explicit words

Paint imagery

Message being heard

 

Direct your chosen theme

Scrutinize in word choice

Maneuver the mood or tone

Active or passive becomes the voice

 

Relish the feeling once complete

Need only peer review

Know other respected poets

Realize it came from YOU

 

Feel the satisfaction

Somewhat sedating

The more recognition

The more elating

 

Poetry is timeless warp

Of love, mystery, and vision

A musical rhapsody with words

Making people love to listen

Poetry is so many things, therapeutic for the writer, a comfort for the reader, a voice for those who can't speak… and your poem is a wonderful tribute to the art form that may not be popular anymore but will never die.

Oh my you said that so well...like it should be part of the poem...I had writers block and could not get flowing but this helped...if you care to check out my first good one in awhile it is still about addiction but it is sophisticated and I love it...stayed up in the middle of the night writing and posted at 4 am...couldn't wait...LOL hahahah Plaese check it out..."What Can an Addict Give Us"...I will read this one Friday I think..let me know..this one is important because I want it to be the front poem of my new book...

Oh my good golly gosh, Poetic Queens comes back with a BADOOM! This is out of this world, girlie, I adore it. Really, for someone who had writers block, you kicked that to the curb for damn sure! WAHOO! You go girl, this is powerful.

Awwww..thanks but this was just something I was fooling around with because I had writers block but that has ended now...no I mean the good one I posted in the middle of the night as that is when I finally finished it and could not wait till morning to post...lol hahahaha It is called, "What Can an Addict Give You?" please check this one out as it is much more sophisticated and sends a message but as of yet no one seems to get it??? Weird...but I see it clearly! It is very important to me to have YOUR opinion!

well, that about sums it up beautifully and brilliantly.. I love the evolution of this piece, it perfectly describes how, what and why we do what we do... word choice is exquisite and flow was flawless.. this one touched me as most of us can relate.. the ending was my favorite!!! I couldn't have said it better myself.. I do love to listen and what this one speaks to me is of love and appreciation for the thing which is as much a part of us as the air we breathe... amazing writing.. favs for sure!
