Eyes

I remember the last night we laid under the stars,

And the day everything fell apart.

I could see it in your eyes.

They were so sad and terrified, I couldn't believe they were yours.

It was like something inside you died, or someone closed the doors

In your mind. 

Sad and terrified,

You had hoped for something more,

But instead you said goodbye.
