Elves And Fairies Save Us

Elves And Fairies Save Us

A Poem by Tricia Pattinson

Elves and Fairies Save Us
by Tricia Pattinson

Beneath the waves of the world I see
You elves and fairies disguised and discreet
Dressed in green you arrive on time
Saving us all from Mars and Saturn's stye

No worries you lovely beings
With ears like arrows pointing heavenward
And eyes that see through walls
Bringers of hope in the dawn

Where have you been hiding yourselves?
In the space of djinnies and UFOs?
Did you meet the Dweller himself?
Can you say or not?

The World has little memory
For all the comraderie
Miracles your presence came with
The lathering of jolliness you brang

Ok, ok I'll tell you what I want
To kiss your pointy ears just to start
Giggle with your audience at your jokes
To fly with light in the dark as you
