Beautiful Sunrise
by tricia pattinson I basque in the shade of night Awaiting Nature's joining Light Revealing the depths of truths And the darkest creations too! Little birds announcing An orchestra's trumpeting The chirping: "Morning Glorious" The regal Sun approaches! Perfect and beloved caress Reaching deep in Mother Earth Blessor of what is Your first subtle waves even the World rejoices in When your broad brush's palette Strikes the stars from gaze Its time for the regression of blindness Hinting of relief from indecision The scents of night's delicate bouquets Are more heavily perfumed in day The dew more fragrantly responds Content to leave refuge and thanking Sun If only my eyes could see All of your beautiful maze Every bird and green Filling up and setting free For now, I too am content Shaped by the senses of dawn And the bird songs crescendo'g in the trees I join the awe of the dew, alighting with humble gratitude! © 2014 Tricia Pattinson |
