Finding My Own Perfume Worthy

Finding My Own Perfume Worthy

A Poem by Tricia Pattinson

Finding My Own Perfume Worthy
by Tricia Pattinson

My hemlock,
Oh my sweet and cherished potion
Calls with its perfume
Where ever I have tread

A lingering memory of another goddess
Songs eerily remembered of her instead

Woo me free of this intoxication
Cast an olfactory spell
For my steps to be confident
Singing of my own womanly scent

May I never again be enthralled
To that sweetest of addictions -
Perfumery of a goddess
Called "Liz Taylor"

Lol! This is truly magical and has an added sense of humor, which is a true talent. I love the sense of being entranced in a scent. Thank you for sharing. Perfect!
