Saturn And Mars Collide

Saturn And Mars Collide

A Poem by Tricia Pattinson

Saturn And Mars Collide
by Tricia Pattinson

The cries that fill the air
Fall as rain from clouds
Shattering crowns on the ground

From the tops of phallic symbols
Shooting guns discharge
With global kickbacks cracking

The rockets fly
Through the center of the Earth
Destroying like meteors from within

The screams turn silent
And power disgraced flees
Down the incurable cheater's seek

Calls of crackpots unanswered
As the guiders of humanity run
From the witnesses of destruction

Beautiful and dark-My favorite combination. I love the imagery you provide with you words here. I felt as if I was sitting on another planet watching a war unfold. Thank you for sharing.
