A poem about dying love

 

I threw the shell I found you out into the ocean

With the words I Love You inscribed inside

And watched as it sank like a stone into the sea

Where my love that I carried for you drowned

Now without looking back and head held high

I walk out towards a brighter future and sky

From this moment I shall never think of you again

You’re a fading memory a means to a end
