It wants what it wants

A poem about a constant heart

How can a mind, 

Sway a constant heart blinded,

With the truth?

How can it convince, 

That which doesn't understand logic, 

With what it should need?

I fear this heart

That starts and stops

As it wishes to

Like a child,

It only understands what it wants,

And I grow tired 

of pining over you.

I think this is an old age battle between mind and heart.. it seems to me as if we'll never truly find the answer to it.. all logic fails when it comes to what the heart wants.. I liked reading this.. Beautifully conveyed :)

ouch! and that really hurts...
when one's being so fallen in love, he/she ain't know what he/she be goin' throu' until the edge of deadend it's reached. i guess, love itself ain't ev'n know what exactly it wants, and needs to be lived cos most of the time, it's being magnetized with infatuation, & latter found dang shattered into pieces when reality comes shown to eyes. a very piercing and raged poetry you've come up with. absolutely marvelous!
