Burning Love

A poem about a passionate love. A lover who changes everything in your life to the better. a lover who frees you. And once you reached the highest highs... leaves.

That kind of love

That emits cold flames

Sending shivers down your spine

It lights up your life

And frees you from your bounds

That kind of fire 

That is gentle when embraced

But sure to burn you 

once it has extinguished 

That kind of love 

You fear but crave 

And once you have a taste 

It becomes an addiction 

That kind of love 

That frees you 

Only to trap you in a different cage 

once it's gone

Alright, I usually hate love poems since I get jealous of the poet's emotion of passion but I really did like this writing. It's full of strong emotion and kinda takes you on a short little ride.
