Quartet to the weatherA Poem by LankyFour poems inspired by different weather phenomenonRain Raging torrents of down coming rain how beautiful that can be its pitter patter and tip tap brings no strain its that which comforts me Lightning A flash of light across the sky bright blue flames alight my eye like the flash of a giant fire fly one strike... its here and then its gone Thunder Black clouds bring an ominous ceiling and a rumble in the once clear skies loud and crashing sending scary feelings into the poor child's mind the thunder brings the kids scared cries but when the storm is past the kid just laughs "See mommy, i didn't hide" Snow Pretty unique flakes fall upon the earth collect on the coldest ground yet still the collection gives birth to a beauty that for now is bound to a world that looks so pure. So new, with its sky all blue and ground alight with a bright shade of white all perfect, who knew? © 2010 Lanky |
